Huangyangtan
Huangyangtan is located in the southeastern part of Xuanhua County, covering a large sandy area within the watershed of the Yanghe River, a first-level tributary of the upper Yongding River.
The terrain of Huangyangtan is complex, with higher elevations in the southeast and lower in the northwest. The eastern and southern parts consist of steep rocky mountains. It spans 13.7 kilometers from east to west and 12.9 kilometers horizontally from north to south, but the elevation difference reaches 1,128.9 meters. The area has harsh climatic conditions, situated in the transitional zone between arid and semi-arid regions, with concentrated rainfall and abundant sunshine. After years of dedicated efforts, it has been well restored and managed.
