Guanzikou Site

The Guanzikou Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Hebei Province.

The Guanzikou Site is located about 150 meters west of Guanzikou Village, on the first terrace of the northern bank of the Longyang River. It covers an area of 30,000 square meters and is a richly stratified Longshan-period site in the Longyang River basin of Xuanhua County.

Due to years of erosion by the river, the southeastern sides have been damaged. A survey was conducted in the spring of 1984. To further understand the site’s significance and explore the Neolithic archaeological cultural sequence and chronology of the Zhangjiakou region, the Zhangjiakou Cultural Relics Management Office and the Xuanhua County Cultural Relics Management Office conducted follow-up investigations in the autumn of 1989 and the winter of 1990.
