Gaobeidian Botanical Park

Gaobeidian Botanical Park is located in the southeastern part of Gaobeidian city. Completed in September 2004 with a total investment of 42 million yuan, it covers an area of 28 hectares, including 23 hectares of green space and 1.7 hectares of water area. The park is fully equipped and serves as a comprehensive botanical garden integrating science education, fitness, leisure, and entertainment.

The park is divided into eight functional areas: the Central Landscape Area, Water Scenery Area, Youth Activity Area, Senior Citizens' Activity Area, Science Education Area, European Garden Area, VIP Reception Area, and Comprehensive Service Area. It features 11 scenic zones, including the Splendid Garden and Flower Garden. The botanical park is also an important component of the city’s green space system.

The park houses over 200 plant species, totaling more than 500,000 plants. Today, it has become a well-known tourist attraction, drawing large numbers of visitors from nearby counties and cities. With nearly 100,000 visitors annually, it serves not only as a great destination for local residents to relax and vacation, but also as a highlight in the city’s efforts to develop leisure tourism.
