The Baiyangdian Fishermen's Paradise in Anxin County was built in 2001, covering an area of over 1,000 acres. It is located within the Baiyangdian scenic area, historically known as Shaochedian, an ancient battlefield where the Song Dynasty general Yang Yanzhao resisted the Jin and Liao invasions. The site features vast waters with crystal-clear quality, surrounded by expansive reed marshes, lotus leaves dotting the water, dense cattails, clusters of water chestnuts, and lotus seeds. With mild winds and fresh air, birds flock in great numbers, visitors throng the area, and laughter fills the air, making it a typical wetland sightseeing destination.

Winding pontoon bridges in the scenic area invite visitors to ponder and appreciate the surroundings. Participatory activities include bamboo rafting, pedal boating, viewing Baiyangdian lotuses, exploring the reed maze, watching birds soaring overhead, and staying in floating漂流小屋 (drifting cabins) on the water.
