Baiyangdian Cultural Garden

Baiyangdian Cultural Garden is located in Baiyangdian, Anxin County, covering an area of about 2,000 acres. The site’s themes encompass four major cultural aspects: history, tradition, folklore, and ecology. It features eight major attractions: the Kangxi Water Enclosure Temporary Palace, Pei’en Temple, Money Screen, Willow Smoke on the East Dyke, Lotus Breeze on the West Marsh, Aquatic Plant Garden, Reed Flower Village Resort, and the Yanling Brigade Memorial Hall.

The Kangxi Water Enclosure Temporary Palace was restored based on the original Guolikou Temporary Palace. It consists of two courtyards: the Thousand-Year Hall and the Sleeping Quarters, used by the emperor to handle state affairs and rest after water outings. Pei’en Temple includes the Heavenly King Hall and the Mahavira Hall. The temple houses a rare stone plaque inscribed with “Imperial Edict Pei’en Temple,” personally written by Emperor Kangxi. The Yanling Brigade Memorial Hall showcases the valor of the Yanling heroes and serves as a base for patriotic education.
