Dunhou Site

The Dunhou Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Dunhou Site is located in Dunhou Village, Shilianzi Town, Junan County. It dates back to the Neolithic Age, the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, and the Han Dynasty, and is classified as an ancient site.

The Dunhou Site is among the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units.

Shilianzi Town: Shilianzi Town in Junan County is situated in the northwest of Junan County, on the western bank of the Shu River. It administers 48 administrative villages, has a population of 45,000, covers a total area of 71 square kilometers, and has 65,000 mu of arable land. It borders Linyi City to the west, and Linshu County and Juxian County to the north. It is 3 kilometers away from National Highway 206, and is traversed by Wensi Road and Liangyi Road, offering convenient transportation and a superior geographical location. The terrain is flat, rivers are dense, groundwater is abundant, water quality is excellent, and the soil is fertile—particularly suitable for growing fruits and vegetables. It is renowned as a hometown of grapes, strawberries, and watermelons.
