The Ezhai Waterfall Cluster Scenic Area is a comprehensive destination characterized by its beautiful natural landscapes, lush vegetation, profound historical and cultural heritage, traditional mountain village dwellings, and a well-preserved ecological environment. The area features ancient and unique geological landforms, diverse forest biodiversity, an independent and complete spring-fed waterfall water system, a long and diverse historical and cultural legacy, distinctive traditional mountain residences, simple and sincere local customs, as well as a rich variety of fruits, mountain delicacies, and game. It is a pristine, tranquil, and cool natural oxygen bar, a well-maintained ecological conservation zone, a rare sanctuary for reconnecting with nature and achieving harmony between humans and the environment, and a northern “Wuling”-like paradise where one can return to simplicity and authenticity.

The scenic area is located in the central mountainous region of Shandong, about 40 kilometers east of Zichuan District. Here, you’ll find green mountains, clear waters, blue skies, and fresh, pleasant air, making it a renowned provincial-level nature reserve and tourist scenic spot. With an average elevation of over 450 meters, annual precipitation ranging from 500 to 900 millimeters, and an average annual temperature of 11.3 degrees Celsius, the northern end of the Ezhai Waterfall Cluster is just over 600 meters south of the township government seat. The scenic area has an elevation difference of over 200 meters from north to south. Along the river, which stretches 12 li (approximately 6 kilometers), waterfalls connect with ponds and ponds with waterfalls, creating an endless series of beautiful water features. The riverside is lined with lush trees, offering a uniquely charming atmosphere. It boasts the natural beauty of Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan, while the six ancient villages along the river share the classic charm of Zhouzhuang in southern Jiangsu. The surrounding mountains are continuous and ever-changing in color, creating picturesque scenery. In spring, enjoy flower seas and rime frost; in summer, admire waterfalls amid rain showers; in autumn, witness waterfalls shrouded in mist; and in winter, marvel at ice flowers and snowy landscapes.

Tourist Shuttle: Take Bus 1 from Zibo Station to Zichuan, then transfer to Bus 39 (west of the District Transport Building) to Ezhai. Alternatively, take Bus 39 from Zichuan or Bus 67 from Xindian to reach the scenic area.

Self-Driving Guide: Take the Binbo Expressway — exit at Zichuan — drive 2.4 km east on S326 — 4.5 km south on G205 — 8 km east on S803 — 3.8 km east on S3252 — then drive 13 km on Zhonglu Road to arrive. It takes approximately 80 minutes from the expressway exit to the scenic area.
