The Yunming Mountain Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Yunming Mountain Scenic Area is located in Taihe Town, Zichuan District, Zibo City, in the heart of central Shandong — a national base for fine arts and photography creation. It sits at the junction of Qingzhou, Linqu, Yiyuan, and Boshan, enjoying convenient transportation and a rich cultural heritage. Covering a total area of 2,800 acres with a forest coverage rate of 99%, it features a warm temperate humid climate. The four seasons are distinct here, with abundant light and heat resources, an annual precipitation of 500–900 mm, and an average annual temperature of 11.3°C. Due to the complex mountainous terrain, various microclimates are particularly pronounced. Blue skies and white clouds are common, often accompanied by misty fog or gentle drizzle. The Yunming Mountain Scenic Area is planned to include ten major attractions: the Yunming Mountain Reception Center, Fruit Picking Garden, Ancient Vine Garden, Red Leaf Ridge, Cypress Forest, Ancient Qi Prefecture City Ruins, Natural Bonsai Garden, Fish Fossil Garden, Leisure Amusement Park, and the Ming-Qing Ancient Village (Painter’s Village). As you walk through the park, the scenery constantly changes. The air is fresh, with up to 102,800 negative ions per cubic centimeter, making it one of the best natural oxygen bars. The park is home to millennia-old forests, rugged rocks, ancient vines, murmuring springs, birdsong, and a strong sense of wilderness. Characterized by “seclusion, tranquility, beauty, and wildness,” it integrates forest sightseeing, science education, historical exploration, hiking adventures, rehabilitation, and leisure entertainment — making it the perfect destination for those seeking to “return to nature.”

The Yunming Mountain Scenic Area boasts a long-standing national culture and is rich in humanistic landscapes. Here, you’ll find uniquely arranged stone buildings and simple, traditional local customs. There are stories and beautiful legends about Duke Huan of Qi, Li Buxian, Li Juren, and “Iron Brush” Li Huazi, as well as widely renowned natural attractions such as the primeval forest, Ancient Qi Prefecture City, Sacred Spring, Cliff Cave, Stone Steed, Reclining Dragon Locust Tree, Reclining Dragon Bridge, and the Millennium Ancient Street. There are also cultural sites like the Xuanwu Hall, Guan Di Temple, Confucius Essence Garden, Martial Examination Tower, and Number One Scholar Pavilion.

A visitor who has come here many times wrote a poem: “Each season brings a different view, / Here alone I find true joy anew. / Stripped of vanity, its true self shines, / Precious to live life close to divine. / Green oxygen bars are rare to find, / With mountains rising from both sides combined. / So many sights within a ten-mile ring, / Where people blend with scenery they bring.”

Taihe Town: Taihe Town was formed on November 6, 2010, through the merger of the former Taihe Township, Ezhua Township, and Zhihe Town. It is the largest town in Zichuan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, in terms of both area and number of villages.

Taihe Town covers an area of 268.7 square kilometers and governs ninety-five administrative villages with a population of 59,000. It has 125 party branches and 2,830 party members, and encompasses 36,721 acres of arable land. It takes over an hour to drive from the town government to the most remote village, and visiting all 95 villages by vehicle takes a full two days.
