Shuangyang Town, Cangzi Village

Cangzi Village is located 3 kilometers east of the Zhangbo Road Zichuan Toll Station. The village is home to the Zitong Mountain Guigudong Scenic Area, a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a Shandong Provincial Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site, a Shandong Provincial-level Scenic Spot, and a municipal-level designated tourism destination. It is the birthplace of Guiguzi culture and the cradle of ancient Chinese strategists and military thinkers. Zitong Mountain is a historically and culturally significant mountain in central Shandong. It features the ruins of Guigudong, where Guiguzi, the progenitor of strategists during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, secluded himself to teach; the ruins of Wangqiao’s Cocoon Room, a filial son from the Northern Song Dynasty; the ruins of Zheng Gong Academy founded by the great Confucian scholar Zheng Xuan of the Han Dynasty; the Jade Emperor Palace and the ruins of Hongling Temple built during the Sui and Tang Dynasties; as well as the ruins of Ji Jing Academy from the Han Dynasty. Major attractions include Panlong Gate, Guigudong Spring, Filial Piety Shrine, Buyun Bridge, Octagonal Stele, the world-record-holding carved long wall inscribed with Guiguzi’s Three Volumes and Twenty-Three Chapters, as well as Guigudong, Guigu Shrine, Kuixing Pavilion, Jade Emperor Palace, Hongling Temple, Zitong Spring, Queen Mother’s Palace, and Zitong Lake. The former Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission once inscribed the words “Guigu Fairyland” for the Guigudong Scenic Area at Zitong Mountain.
