Sanshan Buddha is located to the south of Zichuan District in Zibo City, a national historical and cultural city. Zichuan is the hometown of Pu Songling, the birthplace of "Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio." Covering an area of 3,000 acres, it is renowned for six superlatives. First, the Trikaya Buddhas are the largest in Asia. Second, structures such as the Guanyin Hall, Maitreya Hall (Buddha), Wenchang Pavilion, the Chinese Long Dragon, and the 500 Arhats Garden are the largest of their kind in China.

The Sanshan Buddha Scenic Area features a wealth of uniquely shaped rocks, lush pines and cypresses, shaded trees, green lawns, and blooming flowers, offering floral views three seasons of the year and evergreen foliage all year round. Majestic stone archways, the grand Chinese Long Dragon, and the Hundred Dragons Pavilion by the water showcase diverse shapes, elegant layouts, clear focal points, and breathtaking beauty. Centered around Wenfeng Lake, attractions such as Moon Bay, Green Lotus Pond, the Strange Rocks Screen, and Lingfeng Pagoda each display their own charm. The pavilions, terraces, towers, and pavilions constructed here feature exquisite layouts and grandeur, complemented by 48 Vows and 88 Buddhas.

The Sanshan Buddha Scenic Area is the most fully featured and home to the largest number of Buddha statues in central Shandong, making it one of China’s foremost Buddhist cultural destinations. Key attractions include the Heavenly King Hall, Guanyin Hall, Maitreya Hall (Buddha), Shan Chuan Dan Temple, Scripture Lecture Hall, 500 Arhats Garden, Chinese Long Dragon, Filial Piety Garden, and Wenchang Pavilion.
