The spring water of the Divine Ox Spring flows continuously from the crevices in the mountain cliff, trickling down with a pleasant tinkling sound. The water is crystal clear, unpolluted, cool, sweet, and soothing to the throat. Legend has it that the spring once nourished a divine ox, hence the locals named it the "Divine Ox Spring" and regarded it as the sacred dwelling of the mountain spring spirit. The Divine Ox Spring is widely renowned, and over the generations, visitors from near and far have often come here to pray for the water and use it for health and healing purposes. The Divine Ox Spring also provides water for the entire village of Niuji'an and their livestock. To meet the drinking needs, people have continuously expanded the water storage capacity and carried out anti-pollution renovations. There are several stone pillars in the pool, each weighing several thousand pounds, which were quarried by ancestors from three miles away at Nanling Old Mountain. It took many days for the villagers to transport them laboriously through steep cliffs. The Divine Ox Spring has a glorious and prestigious history.

Niuji'an Village: Niuji'an Village is located 6.5 km southwest of Kunlun Town, Zichuan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, bordering Boshan District to the south. It was established in the mid-Qing Dynasty and is a traditional ancient village with a history of over 400 years. In 2015, Niuji'an Village was designated as a “Provincial-Level Ancient Village” of Shandong Province.

Nestled deep in the mountains, Niuji'an Village enjoys the reputation of being a “village in the sky.” Surrounded by mountain ranges, the entire village resembles a reclining ox when viewed from above. Halfway up the mountain lies a small hermitage named “Niuji’an.”
