Three Teachings Shrine

The Three Teachings Shrine is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Three Teachings Shrine is located on the Southern Tourism Route and is an important part of the ancient architectural complex at Zhaoyang Cave. This stone structure is ingeniously nestled between natural rock caves and enshrines the Three Teachings—Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism—hence its name. The couplet on its door reads: “The ignorant arbitrarily divide the Three Teachings; the enlightened comprehend one unified mind,” with the horizontal plaque reading: “Three Teachings Under One Roof.” To the south of the shrine are three springs of exceptionally clear water, known as the “Three Reflecting Springs.”

Taihe Town: Taihe Town was formed on November 6, 2010, through the merger of the former Taihe Township, Ezhai Township, and Zhahe Town. It is the largest town in terms of area and the one with the most villages in Zichuan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province.

Taihe Town covers an area of 268.7 square kilometers and governs ninety-five administrative villages. It has a population of 59,000; 125 party branches with 2,830 party members; and 36,721 mu of arable land. It takes over an hour to drive from the town government to the most remote village, and visiting all 95 villages by vehicle takes a full two days.
