Xipo Di Kiln Site

The Xipo Di Kiln Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Xipo Di Ancient Porcelain Kiln Site is located on a highland east of Xipo Di Village, Xihe Town, stretching approximately 500 meters from north to south and 100 meters from east to west, covering an area of 50,000 square meters. The site is scattered with a large number of porcelain fragments, featuring glaze decorations in white, black, and black floral patterns on white backgrounds. Most of the items are daily utensils such as bowls, cups, basins, and bottles. Compared with similar artifacts unearthed in the Huayan Temple area of Cicun Kiln Site, the shapes and glaze colors are largely consistent, indicating they belong to the same period. The thickest accumulation reaches up to 4 meters. Experts have determined that the Xipo Di Kiln Site was producing porcelain by at least the Jin Dynasty and continued through the Yuan Dynasty. In 2013, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the Shandong Provincial People's Government.
