The Zhangzhuang Stone Fortress Ruins are located in Xihé Town, Zichuan District, Zibo City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

On June 23, 2015, the Zhangzhuang Stone Fortress Ruins were designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Xihé Town: Dongpíng Town is situated in the central-southern part of Zibo City, Shandong Province, covering an area of 40.5 square kilometers. It governs 24 administrative villages with a population of 18,000. The town is 20 kilometers from the Zichuan District government seat, with the Boxìng Highway running east-west across it, the Xīntài Railway crossing to the east, and the Binbó Expressway entrance just 15 kilometers to the west. It lies 106 kilometers from Jinan’s air transport hub and 287 kilometers from Qingdao’s seaport.
