Xigu Residential Complex

The Xigu Residential Complex is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Xigu Residential Complex is situated in Taihe Town, Zichuan District, Zibo City, and originates from the Ming and Qing dynasties.

On June 23, 2015, the Xigu Residential Complex was listed as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Taihe Town: Taihe Town was formed on November 6, 2010, through the merger of the former Taihe Township, Ezhuang Township, and Zhehe Town. It is the largest town in Zichuan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, both in terms of area and number of villages.

Taihe Town covers an area of 268.7 square kilometers and governs ninety-five administrative villages. It has a population of 59,000; 125 Party branches and 2,830 Party members; and 36,721 mu of arable land. It takes over an hour to drive from the town government to the most remote village, and visiting all 95 villages by vehicle takes a full two days.
