Sunwu Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Sunwu Lake in Guangrao County was named as part of the seventh batch of National Water Conservancy Scenic Areas after being reviewed and approved by the Water Conservancy Scenic Area Evaluation Committee under the Ministry of Water Resources. The development and construction of Sunwu Lake have been planned and designed to meet the standards of a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. It covers a planned area of 8 square kilometers, with a water surface area of 2.48 million square meters and stretches 7.5 kilometers from north to south. Utilizing modern landscaping techniques, over 800,000 square meters of scenic gardens have been created, setting the entire lake area amidst lush green surroundings, offering breathtaking scenery. It is hailed as the “Golden Shores” for tourism, vacationing, leisure, and entertainment.
