Site of Maming Temple

The Site of Maming Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangrao County.

The Site of Maming Temple is located at the northwest corner of Houtun Village, Dawang Town, Guangrao County. It stretches 46 meters from east to west and 78 meters from north to south, covering a total area of 2,700 square meters. The surface contains numerous gray pottery ribbed tiles, gray pottery bricks, and similar artifacts. Drilling surveys have revealed that the cultural layer at the site is relatively thin and includes small fragments of pottery shards. Based on surface cultural relics and analysis of other materials, the site is dated to the Han Dynasty and the Song to Qing Dynasties. It provides important physical evidence for studying the distribution of temples in Guangrao County.
