Xiyin Site

The Xiyin Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Guangrao County.

The Xiyin Site is located in the northern part of Xiyin Village, Dawang Town. The terrain is relatively flat, and the site is rectangular in shape, measuring approximately 350 meters from east to west and 180 meters from north to south, with a total area of about 63,000 square meters. There are few surface artifacts. Drilling surveys indicate that the cultural layer is about 1.2 meters deep, containing materials such as red-fired soil particles, plant ash, charcoal fragments, and gray clay pottery shards. Collected samples include gray pottery cord-marked li tripod leg pieces, gray pottery cord-marked li tripod rim pieces, gray pottery basin rim pieces, gray pottery dou plate pieces, and dou stem pieces. Based on the characteristics of the collected samples, this site is identified as a cultural relic from the Zhou to Han periods, with a long duration, providing valuable evidence for studying the cultural sequence of the region during that time.
