Ai Family Site

The Ai Family Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Guangrao County.

The Ai Family Site is located to the north of Ai Family Village in Lique Town, Guangrao County, and was re-inspected on May 13, 2009. Observations at the site revealed that the surface was scattered with many cultural relics, including red pottery shards, gray pottery shards, and gray clay bricks. Based on these samples, the artifacts appear to include jars, pots, basins, and dou (food vessels). Drilling indicated that the cultural layer at the site is relatively thin and lies deep beneath the surface, with very few embedded artifacts, such as a small number of gray pottery shards. The site stretches 100 meters from east to west and 203 meters from north to south, covering a total area of approximately 20,000 square meters. Analysis of the collected cultural relics and drilling results suggests that the site dates back to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. It serves as an important physical resource for studying the history of human habitation in Guangrao County and holds certain historical value.

Lique Town: Lique Town is located in the southern part of Guangrao County, 8 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Linzi District of Zibo City to the south, connects to Dawang Town to the east, and adjoins Zibo City and Binzhou City to the west. The provincial-level highway Xinhedao runs north-south through the town, and the planned local railway — Xingguang Railway — will traverse the area from east to west. The town covers a total area of 66.44 square kilometers, with 75,916 mu of arable land. It includes 57 village committees, with a total of 10,806 households and a population of 36,768. Of these, 17,197 are female, 1,673 are non-agricultural residents, the natural population growth rate is 3.89‰, and the family planning rate is 99%.
