Yangmiao Site

Yangmiao Site

The Yangmiao Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangrao County.

The Yangmiao Site is located east of Hou Dazhang Village, Lique Town, Guangrao County, stretching 169 meters from east to west and 223 meters from north to south, covering a total area of 36,000 square meters. Observations at the site reveal numerous cultural relics scattered across the surface, including gray pottery bricks, gray pottery shards, red pottery shards, and artifacts such as jars, pots, and basins. Drilling surveys have found that the cultural layer at the site is relatively thin, with finds including gray pottery shards, plant ash, and red-fired soil particles, though the remains are not particularly abundant. Analysis of the collected cultural relics indicates that the site dates back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties through the Han dynasty, making it an important physical resource for studying the history of human settlement in Guangrao County, and it holds certain historical value.
