Site of the Jin King

The Site of the Jin King is a cultural heritage site protected by Guangrao County.

The Site of the Jin King is located about 100 meters east of Jinwang Village, Guangrao Town, Guangrao County. Observations at the site indicate that the terrain is flat and rectangular, measuring approximately 200 meters from east to west and 170 meters from north to south, with a total area of about 34,000 square meters. Drilling surveys revealed that the cultural layer of the site is about 1 meter deep, containing relatively few artifacts, including a small number of red-fired earth particles and very few plant ash particles. A certain number of cultural relics and specimens are scattered on the surface of the site, including double-hole stone knives, the rims of gray pottery basins made of clay, fragments of gray pottery with cord markings, rims of jars, and fabric-patterned roof tiles. Based on the analysis of the collected cultural relics and the drilling results, it is concluded that this site dates back to the Xia and Han dynasties. It serves as an important physical resource for studying the history of human habitation in Guangrao County and holds certain historical value.
