The Fangjia Site

The Fangjia Site

The Fangjia Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Guangrao County.

The Fangjia Site is located about 30 meters southeast of Fangjia Village, measuring approximately 300 meters from east to west and 200 meters from north to south, covering a total area of about 60,000 square meters. Drilling surveys indicate that the cultural layer is about 1.4 meters deep, containing materials such as red-fired soil particles, plant ash, and blue brick fragments. There are numerous surface relics, and collected samples include the rim of a gray clay pottery jar, the rim of a basin, roof tiles, fragments of gray pottery, and fragments of red pottery. Based on the characteristics of the collected samples, this site is identified as having cultural remains from the Han Dynasty and the Yuan-Ming periods, providing valuable insights into the living environment during these times.
