Zhangguo Site

The Zhangguo Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Guangrao County.

The Zhangguo Site is located about 400 meters northwest of Zhangguo Village, Lique Town, Guangrao County. It is roughly turtle-back shaped, with a higher center and lower periphery, stretching approximately 200 meters from east to west and 300 meters from north to south, covering a total area of about 60,000 square meters. Drilling surveys have revealed that the cultural layer of the site is about 1.8 meters thick, containing materials such as red-fired earth particles, plant ash, and pottery shards. Observations at the site show numerous cultural relics scattered across the surface, including gray pottery tripod leg fragments, broken rims of gray pottery vessels, and fabric-patterned tiles. Based on the analysis of collected artifacts and drilling results, this site dates back to the Western Zhou Dynasty to the Han Dynasty period. It serves as an important physical resource for studying the residential history of Guangrao County and holds significant historical value.

Lique Town: Lique Town is located in the southern part of Guangrao County, about 8 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Linzi District of Zibo City to the south, connects to Dawang Town to the east, and adjoins Zibo City and Binzhou City to the west. The provincial-level highway Xinhel Road runs north–south through the town, and the planned local railway—the Xingguang Railway—will traverse the area east–west. The town covers a total area of 66.44 square kilometers, with cultivated land spanning 75,916 mu. It has 57 villagers' committees, with a total of 10,806 households and a population of 36,768, including 17,197 females and 1,673 non-agricultural residents. The natural population growth rate is 3.89‰, and the family planning compliance rate is 99%.
