Taihe Ruins

The Taihe Ruins are a protected cultural heritage site of Guangrao County.

The Taihe Ruins are situated in the southwest corner of Taihe Village, Lique Town, Guangrao County, and were re-examined on May 15, 2009. Observations indicate that the site’s surface consists of farmland, with its southeast portion disrupted by residential structures in Sujia Village and the northeast corner impacted by buildings in Taihe San Village. From the surface, many cultural relics are scattered, such as gray pottery shards and gray brick pieces. Topographically, the central area of the ruins is slightly elevated while sloping downward toward the edges. Drilling surveys revealed that the cultural layer is relatively shallow, with undisturbed soil appearing at a depth of 1.2 meters. Artifacts found include gray pottery fragments. The entire site stretches 100 meters from east to west and 133 meters from north to south, covering a total area of approximately 14,000 square meters. Based on the collected relics and drilling results, the site dates back to the Han Dynasty and serves as an important physical resource for studying Han-period residential history, holding significant historical value.
