Beijia Site

Beijia Site

The Beijia Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Guangrao County.

The Beijia Site is located approximately 100 meters west of Beijia Village, Shicun Town, Guangrao County. It was re-examined on May 23, 2009. Observations at the site indicate that the overall terrain is slightly higher in the middle, with the surface being farmland. Scattered across the surface are a small number of cultural relics, mainly including gray pottery shards, gray clay bricks, and gray clay roof tiles. Drilling surveys found that the cultural layer at the site is about 1.5 meters thick, containing gray pottery shards, red pottery shards, plant ash, and other materials. The site stretches 117 meters from east to west and 56 meters from north to south, covering a total area of 6,000 square meters. Based on the analysis of collected cultural relics and drilling results, this site dates back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties through the Han dynasty. It serves as an important physical resource for studying the residential history of Guangrao County and holds certain historical value.
