Dongdu Site

Dongdu Site

The Dongdu Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangrao County.

The Dongdu Site is situated about 500 meters north of Dongduituan Village, Guangrao Town, Guangrao County. It was re-examined on November 30, 2008. On-site, the area is scattered with various cultural relics such as gray pottery ribbed tiles, blue bricks, rims of gray pottery jars, white-ground black-painted porcelain pieces, and brown-glazed ceramic bowl bottoms. Drilling revealed that the cultural layer is about 70 centimeters thick, containing blue bricks, plant ash, and other materials. The site spans 160 meters from east to west and 240 meters from north to south, covering a total area of approximately 38,400 square meters. Based on the collected cultural relics and drilling results, the site dates back to the Western Zhou Dynasty through the Han and Song Dynasties, indicating a long period of habitation and providing valuable insights into the cultural sequence of the region during those periods.
