Guangrao County Martyrs' Cemetery is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Guangrao County Martyrs' Cemetery was first built in 1954. In May 2008, with the approval of the provincial Department of Civil Affairs, the county Party committee and government implemented a relocation project for the cemetery, moving it from its original urban location to the present site. The relocation project was completed and accepted in September 2009. The project covers an area of 180 mu, with a construction area of over 4,000 square meters and a total investment of 30 million yuan. To further enhance the educational function of the cemetery as a patriotic education base, in March 2015, the county invested 3 million yuan to renovate and upgrade the exhibition in the martyrs' memorial hall, making its social educational significance and benefits more concrete and evident.

In 1976, Guangrao County Martyrs' Cemetery was listed as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit. In 2001, it was designated as a provincial-level key martyrs' memorial facility protection unit. In recent years, it has been successively recognized as an advanced unit in creating a civilized industry within the civil affairs system of the province, a provincial defense education base, a Dongying City patriotic education base, a Dongying City demonstration base for the Party's mass line education campaign, and a Dongying City garden-style unit. At the end of 2013, upon recommendation by the provincial Department of Civil Affairs, Guangrao County Martyrs' Cemetery applied for recognition as a national-level key martyrs' memorial facility protection unit.

The county currently has records of 3,116 revolutionary martyrs, with 926 buried in the county martyrs' cemetery — including 258 named martyrs, 668 unnamed martyrs, 2 nationally renowned martyrs, and 88 provincially renowned martyrs. The main commemorative facilities in the cemetery are divided into indoor and outdoor sections: the indoor section mainly showcases famous revolutionary figures and significant events from the early days of the Party’s establishment, the First Revolutionary Civil War, the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the Anti-Japanese War, the Liberation War, and the period of socialist construction. The outdoor section features major commemorative structures such as a large stone archway, statues of heroic figures, a large bas-relief wall depicting revolutionary events and figures, a martyrs' monument, a large memorial square, a large tomb for unnamed martyrs, tombs for named martyrs, sculptures commemorating the Battle of Qingshui Po, and stone pillars. The Battle of Qingshui Po, which took place within the county, was one of the fiercest and most brutal battles in the anti-Japanese resistance history of the Qinghe Military Region. It was commanded by senior military leaders such as Xu Shiyou and Yang Guofu, and became a model of victory against greater odds during the Anti-Japanese War.

In recent years, the county Party committee and government have placed great emphasis on the work of honoring martyrs, continuously strengthening the core functions of martyr memorial facilities in "honoring martyrs and educating the public." The county martyrs' cemetery receives over 50,000 visitors annually, effectively serving as a base for patriotic and revolutionary tradition education. During Tomb-Sweeping Day and Martyrs' Memorial Day, the cemetery organizes and hosts memorial and commemorative activities attended by party, government, military, and various sectors of society across the city, greatly inspiring patriotic fervor throughout society.
