Nanhe Agricultural Carnival

The Nanhe Agricultural Carnival is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Nanhe Agricultural Carnival is an agricultural economic complex project jointly developed by the People's Government of Nanhe District, Xingtai City, and China Agricultural University, and is operated by Hebei Fushuo Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. The park is located in Nanhe District, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, on the south side of the intersection between Zhongxing Avenue and Provincial Highway 325, north of Shao Tun Village in Jia Song Town, and west of the "China Raspberry Valley" industrial park.

The Nanhe Agricultural Carnival economic complex is a new model of modern agricultural development based on modern agriculture, supported by technology, connected by culture, characterized by tourism, and aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle. It offers multiple functions such as sightseeing, scientific research demonstration, and information services. Its goal is to create a thriving agricultural scene integrating technology, culture, leisure, and industry, establishing a new model of modern agriculture in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It is currently a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a demonstration site for leisure agriculture in Hebei Province, and one of the top ten cultural industry projects in Hebei Province.

(1) Creative Experience Hall of the Agricultural Carnival

The Creative Experience Hall of the Agricultural Carnival features a dedicated greenhouse spanning 99 mu, incorporating advanced domestic and international vegetable production facilities, equipment, and technologies, complemented by cutting-edge science and technology. Currently, six themed activity venues within the Creative Experience Hall are open to the public: VegBright Starry Sky, Southern Hebei Granary, Herbal Hall, Fairy Tale Orchard, Flowering Youth, and United for Hebei.

(2) High-Tech Agriculture Demonstration Zone

Covering an area of more than 1,000 mu, this zone primarily serves as a demonstration base for modern agricultural science and technology. It includes facilities such as a seedling factory, colorful orchards, and a flower creek nursery, introducing high-value fruit tree varieties suitable for picking. These are cultivated using advanced technical management methods to demonstrate and promote premium new varieties and production techniques for local agricultural professionals.

(3) Eco-Wellness Restaurant

With a glass multi-span greenhouse spanning 5,044?, the restaurant leverages a high-end multi-span greenhouse structure. The interior is designed with garden landscapes to create a pleasant dining environment. It specializes in health-focused and floral-themed cuisine, and integrates intelligent systems to offer visitors a fully self-service experience.

(4) Picking Paradise

Leveraging technical support and resource advantages from China Agricultural University, the Nanhe Agricultural Carnival actively develops leisure agriculture such as healthy tourism and green picking for urban residents. It has created an agricultural picking belt to meet the needs of park visitors for winter and spring picking activities, allowing them to enjoy the pleasure of harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables.

(5) Floral Sea Landscape

The southern part of the park features approximately 100 acres of large-scale flower cultivation. Different seasons see various flowers blooming competitively or in sequence. The floral sea landscape, with its visual appeal, diversity, approachability, and cultural significance, can accommodate numerous service functions and even form a comprehensive floral sea complex, with potential for chain operations. Therefore, floral sea tourism holds great development potential.

(6) Park Activities

The Nanhe Agricultural Carnival aims to showcase new types of agriculture and science education to the public, providing quality education bases for young people to learn about historical and cultural knowledge and experience agricultural life. To this end, it organizes and hosts a variety of activities.

(7) Park Honors

By the end of 2017, the Nanhe Agricultural Carnival had successively received numerous honors, including “Demonstration Site for Leisure Agriculture in Hebei Province,” “National AAA-Level Tourist Attraction,” and “Top Ten Cultural Industry Projects in Hebei Province.” It also completed applications for projects such as “Provincial-Level Agricultural Science and Technology Park” and “Hebei Province Innovation Capability Enhancement Plan — Soft Science and Science Popularization Base.”
