Linqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery

The Linqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a Linqing Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a classic red tourism attraction, and a patriotic education base.

The Linqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is located at No. 379 Dongxing Street, Xinhua Road Subdistrict Office, Linqing City.

The Linqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is situated in the eastern suburbs of Linqing. It was built in April 1979, covering an area of 1,200 square meters with a built-up area of 500 square meters.

The main gate of the cemetery faces west and is designed as a memorial archway-style structure, grand and solemn. In the center of the courtyard to the north stands the Memorial Hall. The modern-style hall is divided into three sections: the central hall, the east hall, and the west hall. The central hall features a plaque inscribed with the words “Long Live the Fallen Martyrs” written by Comrade Mao Zedong, and above it hangs calligraphy by Comrade Zhu De reading “Their Noble Spirits Live On.” The east and west halls display the deeds of the fallen martyrs as well as their relics and remains.

To the east of the Memorial Hall lies the martyrs’ burial ground. Originally, there were 36 graves of revolutionary martyrs, but some tombstones have since been relocated by the families of the martyrs, leaving 23 tombstones currently standing.

Directly south of the Memorial Hall is a memorial pavilion, and directly opposite to the south of the Memorial Hall is a screen wall memorial archway inscribed with the words “The Revolutionary Martyrs Shall Live Forever” written by Comrade Mao Zedong.

In 1979, the Linqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery was designated as a municipal-level patriotic education base in Linqing. On holidays such as Tomb-Sweeping Day, July 1st, and Army Day, government agencies, schools, and people from all walks of life come here to pay tribute to the revolutionary martyrs and receive patriotic and revolutionary tradition education.

On October 27, 1986, the Linqing Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery was announced as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.
