Lianxin River Cascading Waterfall

Located beneath Yingjie Ridge within the park, it is the main waterway where the Nanyu watershed flows into the Jiangshui River. Originally named Nanhegou, it was renamed “Junmin Lianxin River” (Army-Civilians United River) during the period when the Counter-Japanese Military and Political University (抗大) operated here, as soldiers and civilians shared the same river. The cascading waterfall section stretches 2000 meters from Yingbin Bridge to the Square, with the river being 15–30 meters wide and featuring 20 check dams ranging from 0.8 to 1.5 meters in height. As visitors walk along the riverside scenic drive, one side offers lush green mountains and layered waterfalls, while the other presents rows of two-story houses in the new countryside and pollution-free vegetable fields, creating a picturesque rural scene.
