Xingtai New Century Square

Xingtai New Century Square was built in 1999 and covers an area of 56,000 square meters. Located at the intersection of Zhongxing East Street and Xinhua Road in Qiaodong District, it serves as a leisure and recreational hub for local residents and is also a landmark building of the city, often referred to as the "living room" of Xingtai.

As you approach New Century Square, the first thing that catches your eye is the magnificent, large-scale lawn. Walking past the roller rink made of microcrystalline glass, you’ll come to the colorful musical fountain, which resembles the body of a peace dove, with adjacent pools looking like its wings. On either side of the square stand the stainless steel composite “Marching into the New Century” sculpture and the titanium “Rotating Universe Sphere.” The musical fountain spans an area of 3,200 square meters and can produce over 40 different water patterns such as Silver Waterfall, Jade Trees in the Breeze, Snow Dancing in the Wilderness, and Ice Blossoms Blooming, all synchronized with elegant music. The central water jet can reach over 40 meters high.

In the early morning, the square gathers crowds flying kites, practicing qigong, playing fitness balls, performing yangko dance, and doing tai chi. In the evening, locals engage in fitness activities here, attracting many participants. Every day, people come to the square to stroll, exercise, and relax, filling the space with joy and harmony. With its beautiful environment and rich cultural atmosphere, New Century Square has become a central venue for public cultural activities, an indispensable spiritual and cultural haven for the citizens, and a beautiful landmark of Niu City (Xingtai).
