Zoucheng Hongshan Forest Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Zoucheng Hongshan Forest Park is located in the southeastern part of Dasu Town, beside Provincial Highway Lanji, about 10 kilometers east of downtown Zoucheng, with a total catchment area of 40,000 mu. In 2003, it was listed as a municipal ecotourism development zone by the Zoucheng Mountainous Area Construction Command. It is the nearest, most vegetated, and most conveniently accessible ecotourism development zone to downtown Zoucheng. In recent years, through continuous development and conservation, the forest coverage rate has exceeded 80%, with over one million trees planted, including jujube, walnut, cherry, persimmon, chestnut, and various landscaping seedlings. The area boasts abundant water and forest resources, with year-round streams in the mountain valleys that are unpolluted and of good quality, along with fresh and pleasant air, earning it the local nickname “natural oxygen bar.” Transportation and infrastructure within the catchment have also met the basic requirements for tourism, forming a preliminary layout where roads weave through the scenery and every scenic spot is easily accessible. The park is rich in both ecological and cultural tourism resources, with profound historical heritage. Within the catchment area are the Guoluoshan Northern Zhou Cliff Carvings, a national-level cultural relic protection unit, and the Huiwangcheng Ruins, a Jining municipal-level cultural relic protection unit. The mountain is home to the only Buddhist site in Zoucheng—Hongshan Temple—which attracts many worshippers for prayer and Buddhist practice. In 2010 and 2014, the rare “peach blossom jellyfish,” often referred to as the “panda of the water,” was discovered twice in the Hongshan catchment. In 2011, Hongshan was officially named Hongshan Forest Park by Jining City.

From the mountaintop to the west, visitors can enjoy the spectacular view of the “Sunset over West Lake.” At the summit of Hongshan, to the north one can witness the “Myriad Mountains Facing Mount Ni” phenomenon and take in the magnificent sight of the Nishan Reservoir; to the south, the majestic form of Mount Yi comes into view; and to the east, the beauty of vast acres of jujube orchards unfolds. During the May Day holiday, to further enrich visitor experiences, the Hongshan Viewing Platform will host a locust flower DIY event, inviting professional pastry chefs to guide on-site visitors in making locust flower pancakes and cakes. The Xitai Gou scenic spot will feature performances by theater troupes in a “Rural Traditions and Folk Opera” event, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in rich local customs and culture.

Dasu Town: Dasu Town covers a total area of 136.6 square kilometers, governs 77 administrative villages, has 102,600 mu of arable land, and a population of 78,000. In 2005, the town achieved a gross domestic product of 1.04 billion yuan, with per capita rural income reaching 4,707 yuan.

Dasu Town is a place rich in talent and cultural heritage. The planned China Huaxia Cultural Symbol City is located in the Jiulong Mountain range to the northwest of Dasu Town.
