Lanling Peach Blossom Paradise is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a cultural heritage site protected by Shandong Province.

Lanling Peach Blossom Paradise gets its name from the Northern Qi Dynasty general Gao Changgong of the Southern and Northern Dynasties period. Known for his valor and military skill, Gao was enfeoffed as the ruler of Lanling Commandery in Xuzhou, commonly referred to as the “Lanling King.” To evade attacks from his royal kin and in hiding with the heavenly maiden Yang Xuewu, he is said to have taken refuge here, hence the name. The Lanling Peach Blossom Paradise tourist area consists of four parts: Lanling Peach Blossom Paradise, Lanling Wetland, Lanling Park, and Lanling Ancient City, as well as supporting facilities such as a visitor service center, waystations, and a food street. Following the concept of “turning the entire town into a scenic area” and “urbanizing the functions of the scenic area,” it has created the brand “Two-Day Trip Before the City, A Dream Back Three Thousand Years.”

Among these, Lanling Peach Blossom Paradise features 13,700 mu of peach orchards, dotted with various waystations including Lanling City Waystation, Huangyue City Waystation, Zhuzhi City Waystation, Yiqing Pavilion, Yixin Pavilion, and Yishen Pavilion. There is also a 12.39-meter-tall statue of the God of Longevity, a 3-meter-diameter sculpture of the Lanling Immortal Peach, as well as landscapes depicting historical scenes such as the Kang King’s Love Pledge, the Kang King’s Royal Procession, the Peach Garden Oath of Brotherhood, and the Lanling King’s Secluded Retreat. When the peach blossoms are in full bloom, the area is bustling with visitors, creating a scene where “faces and blossoms reflect each other in a rosy glow,” making one feel as if in a paradise on earth. Lanling Wetland Park spans over 2,000 mu and includes wetland types such as rivers and lakes, interspersed with landscape features like Chengyue Island and Lan Pavilion. The ruins of Lanling Ancient City are located north of Chengqian Village, Chengqian Town, Zoucheng City, Shandong Province. The history of Lanling Ancient City can be traced back to the Western Zhou Dynasty, over 3,000 years ago. By the Eastern Han Dynasty, it had developed into a grand architectural complex covering more than 300 mu. Today, only scattered remnants of ancient tiles remain on the surface, telling moving legends.
