The Nishan Red Education Base Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

The Nishan District Red Education Base is located 12 kilometers northwest of Chengqian Town, Zoucheng City. It consists of the Shibantan Forest Farm, the Nishan District Anti-Japanese Martyrs' Park, and tourism characteristic villages, covering an area of 4 square kilometers. Among them, the Nishan District Anti-Japanese Martyrs' Park is situated at the eastern foot of Shibantan Mountain, east of Qucun Village, spanning over 50 acres. The park includes the Nishan District Anti-Japanese Memorial Monument (a key cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province in 2015), the Nishan District Anti-Japanese Memorial Hall, an anti-Japanese primary school, an anti-Japanese rear hospital, an Eighth Route Army barracks, a red square, and more. In January 2016, it was designated as a Shandong Provincial Patriotic Education Base by the Publicity Department of the Shandong Provincial Committee, making it an important site for patriotic education.

Chengqian Town: Located in the eastern mountainous region of Zoucheng City, Shandong Province, Chengqian Town covers a total area of 182 square kilometers, comprises 111 administrative villages, and has a population of 86,000. The town’s arable land spans 95,000 mu. In 2003, the town achieved a gross domestic product of 530 million yuan, fiscal revenue of 8.6 million yuan, and per capita income of 3,180 yuan.
