Shigu Dun Scenic Area

Shigu Dun Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Shigu Dun Village is located 8 kilometers northeast of Xiangcheng Town, covering an area of 1.13 square kilometers, and is a mountainous village. The village was first established during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty. As it was originally situated in front of Pipa Mountain, it was initially called Pipa Village. Later, due to the presence of a naturally formed drum-shaped rock to the west of the village that produced sound when struck, it was renamed Shigu Dun Village. The village currently has 92 households and 340 residents, with 262 mu of arable land. It is divided into the main entrance square area, rural cultural courtyard exhibition area, cultural activity square performance area, specialty courtyard experience area (including family farms, farm stays, etc.), fruit-picking garden, and farmland sightseeing area.

Xiangcheng Town: Xiangcheng Town is located in the southeastern part of Zoucheng City, 20 kilometers from the urban center. The town has a population of 84,000, covers an area of 177 square kilometers, and governs 100 administrative villages. In 2003, the total rural economic income of the town was 322.64 million yuan, with fiscal revenue of 22.64 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2,960 yuan.

Diverse leading pillar industries. Forestry and fruit, animal husbandry, stone materials, and agricultural by-product processing are the town’s key industries.
