The Central Store Town Strawberry Sightseeing Eco-Farm boasts over 2,000 greenhouse strawberry sheds, with an annual production of 20,000 tons and an output value of 300 million yuan. It offers a strawberry picking season spanning nearly six months from December to June of the following year, attracting over 200,000 visitors annually and directly employing more than 2,000 people. In 2012, the town was honored with the title “Hometown of Green Ecological Strawberries in China.” The “Fudong” brand strawberries were certified as organic agricultural products in 2012, and the scenic area received the title “Shandong Province Boutique Picking Garden” in 2013. To further enrich tourism offerings, the town plans to build upon its strawberry industry, leveraging its proximity to the city and suburban advantages, the popularity of the strawberry sightseeing eco-farm, and the convenient transport links to nearby Yuhuang Mountain and Jiulong Mountain. By integrating the Yuhuang Mountain Fruit Picking Area, Jiulong Mountain Scenic Leisure Area, and Shangzhai Folk Tourism Area, the four zones will work together in a synergistic and integrated development model to create an urban leisure and sightseeing destination.
