The Zoucheng Douji Terrace Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Zoucheng Douji Terrace Site is located 2 kilometers south of Xiashan Village, Yishan Town, adjacent to the southern side of Mount Yishan. It is a relic site from the Zhou Dynasty. Legend has it that this was once a place where the nobility of the Zhu Kingdom engaged in cockfighting for entertainment, hence the name "Douji Terrace." It was discovered and registered during a cultural relics survey in 1957. The original site covered a large area but was later split into two parts—east and west—by water erosion from nearby hills and streams, forming two separate terraces. According to measurements taken in 1980, the total area was 16,000 square meters, though today it remains only one-third of the original size. The surface of the site yields numerous exposed artifacts, and the cliff faces reveal an ancient cultural layer ranging from 1 to 4 meters in depth, with clearly distinguishable strata. Collected samples include the rims of pottery li (tripod cauldrons), dou (stemmed bowls), guan (jars), and pen (basins), as well as fragments of stone tools. The pottery is mostly coarse gray pottery mixed with sand, decorated with cord markings, and generally dates from the Western Zhou to the Warring States period. In 1985, the Douji Terrace Site was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit of Jining City.

Xiashan Village: Xiashan Village is located 5 kilometers north of the town center and borders National Highway 104 to the west. The village has over 2,000 mu of arable land, with a total of 286 households and 1,053 residents. The village leadership consists of a five-member team, including 23 Party members. There are 12 households receiving subsistence allowances, 6 individuals under the Five Guarantees program, and 2 military or martyr families. Situated at the foot of Mount Yishan, Xiashan Village has developed tourism by capitalizing on its peach tree plantations, showing promising development prospects.
