Pre-city Site

The Pre-city Site is a cultural relic protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Pre-city Site, also known as the Kangwang City Site, is an important Eastern Zhou Dynasty relic within Zoucheng City. It is located to the north of Chengqian Village. The site spans 300 meters from east to west and 500 meters from north to south, forming a raised terrace-like plateau. On the surface, there are fragments of pottery such as slender-handled dou (food vessels), basins, li (tripod cauldrons), and jars, along with a large number of Han Dynasty tubular tiles, flat tiles, and scroll-cloud patterned roof tiles, plus a small number of Eastern Zhou Dynasty pottery inscriptions. Remains of rammed earth layers and foundation stones have been discovered on the eastern side of the site. In 1978, the site was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit of Zoucheng City.

Chengqian Town: Located in the eastern mountainous region of Zoucheng City, Shandong Province, Chengqian Town covers a total area of 182 square kilometers, includes 111 administrative villages, and has a population of 86,000. The town’s arable land spans 95,000 mu. In 2003, the town achieved a gross domestic product of 530 million yuan, fiscal revenue of 8.6 million yuan, and an average per capita income of 3,180 yuan. It is a major town with significant geographical importance, convenient transportation, and abundant agricultural and sideline resources, offering a superior investment environment and broad development prospects.
