Tomb of General Jin Wulin Da

The Tomb of General Jin Wulin Da is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Tomb of General Jin Wulin Da is located to the west of Yangshan Village, Guoli Town, Zoucheng City, on the sunny side of Yangshan Mountain, locally known as “Wu Family Forest.” The tomb mound has a remaining height of 6 to 7 meters and a diameter of 40 meters. Rammed earth layers, which are relatively hard and about 25 to 30 centimeters thick, can be observed on the exposed cliff face. In front of the tomb, there were originally two stone ornamental pillars, two stone sheep, two stone beasts, and two stone figures. The stone ornamental pillars and stone sheep were destroyed in 1967, while the stone beasts and stone figures were relocated to Meng Temple for preservation in 1980. In 1973, a tomb stele was discovered during a cultural relics survey but later went missing. In 1988, the Zoucheng Cultural Relics Survey Team conducted a detailed investigation of the tomb and found a large-brick tomb passage built at a depth of 4 meters in the central part of the tomb chamber, indicating a rather grand scale. A patterned square brick was also collected from a villager’s home and transferred to the Zoucheng Cultural Relics Preservation Office for collection.

It boasts rich cultural heritage and a long history, and is the hometown of the famous physician Wang Shuhe and Wang Can, one of the 'Seven Scholars of Jian'an.' The town is home to key cultural heritage sites such as the Fuxi Temple ruins, the tomb of Liu Bao, the Western Jin Dynasty's Grand General of Northern Pacification, and the Tomb of General Jin Wulin Da. The town covers an area of 85.9 square kilometers, with a population of 46,857, and administers 6 management areas and 39 villages.
