Zoucheng Jiulong Spring

Jiulong Spring is located 12 kilometers northeast of the city. According to the Ming Dynasty *Zou County Annals*, in the northwest of Laoying Village and southeast of Jiulong Mountain, there is a perennially gushing mountain spring known as "Jiulong Spring." The spring water is clear and flows continuously. Zoucheng's second-largest river system, the Baima River, originates here. In the past, the Baima River was narrow, winding, and had a short, fast-flowing source, often bringing disasters to residents on both banks. In 1969, villagers from Laoying Village built a reservoir with a capacity of 35,000 cubic meters around the source of the Baima River and Jiulong Spring, benefiting the local community.
