Moting Reservoir

Moting Reservoir was built in 1959, expanded into a medium-sized reservoir in 1977, and later upgraded to a small (Type I) reservoir. In 2009, a reservoir dredging and capacity expansion project was carried out along with supporting irrigation canal system construction. The total storage capacity is 8.64 million cubic meters, with 1,304 mu of usable water surface and a drainage area of 20.6 square kilometers. The wetland features broad, clear water surfaces, with species such as egrets and storks living here year-round. The surrounding rolling mountains create beautiful scenery.

Xiangcheng Town: Located in the southeastern part of Zoucheng City, Xiangcheng Town is 20 kilometers from the city center. It has a population of 84,000, covers an area of 177 square kilometers, and governs 100 administrative villages. In 2003, the town’s total rural economic income was 322.64 million yuan, fiscal revenue was 22.64 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2,960 yuan.
