Dayuan Theater

The Dayuan Theater is a Shandong Provincial cultural relics protection unit.

The Dayuan Theater is located in Zhongxin Dian Town, Zoucheng City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

On October 10, 2013, the Dayuan Theater was designated as part of the fourth batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Zhongxin Dian Town: "Zhongxin Dian Town is situated in the northern part of Zoucheng City, Shandong Province — the homeland of Confucius and Mencius and the birthplace of Chinese culture. It lies 3 kilometers north of downtown Zoucheng. To the north are Qufu, the sacred land of Confucius, Mencius, and the 'Three Confucian Sites', and Mount Tai, known as the 'Foremost of the Five Sacred Mountains'. To the south is Mount Yi, hailed as the 'Marvelous Wonder South of Mount Tai', and to the west is the Water Margin Liangshan region. The town has a total population of 82,000 and covers an area of 89.25 square kilometers, including 72,000 mu of arable land.

Zhongxin Dian Town derives its name from being located at the midpoint between Beijing and Nanjing, and has long been known as the 'Sacred Thoroughfare Connecting North and South, Holy Land of the Two Capitals'.
