The Monument to the Sacred Birthplace of Confucius and Mencius is located in Gangshan Subdistrict, Zoucheng City, and dates back to 1924.

On October 10, 2013, the Monument to the Sacred Birthplace of Confucius and Mencius was designated as part of the fourth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Gangshan Subdistrict: Covering an area of 36 square kilometers, Gangshan Subdistrict administers 10 communities and 14 administrative villages, with a total population of 148,000. Under the strong leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Gangshan Subdistrict adheres to the guidance of the Scientific Outlook on Development, focuses on accelerating transformation, and takes structural adjustment as the main thread.
