Houbaligou Village Scenic Area

Houbaligou Village Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Houbaligou Village is located in Gangshan Subdistrict, Zoucheng City, Shandong Province. The original old village had 512 households and 1,760 residents, while the current population consists of 5,000 households and over 16,000 people, including 105 Party members. In 2008, the entire village was relocated to apartment buildings as part of the new village construction project. In 2012, it established the city’s first village-level Party committee and was the city’s first “National Civilized Village.” In recent years, Houba Village has successively won honors such as “National Civilized Village,” “China’s Beautiful Countryside,” “National Model Village for Democracy and Rule of Law,” “National May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Branch,” “National Model Village for Grassroots Women’s Organization Construction,” and “National Advanced Primary Party Organization.” The village collective now has fixed assets exceeding 4 billion yuan.

In 2005, while beautifying, greening, and illuminating the old village, the village collective started developing a collective economy, establishing enterprises such as a cement products factory and a pickles factory. In 2007, it founded a real estate company, a construction company, and a trading company. In 2012, the “Xinqi Group” was established, with fixed assets of over 4 billion yuan. It includes multiple wholly-owned subsidiaries in areas such as “real estate development, construction and installation, logistics, trade, wine brewing, and cultural tourism,” and has successively built supporting service industries such as an agricultural trade market, an auto parts and beauty city, a food and barbecue city, a kindergarten, and a senior care center. A centralized industrial chain integrating early childhood education, youth entrepreneurship, and elderly services has gradually taken shape in the area. The village is currently cultivating the listing of its cultural tourism company and trading company. The village collective’s commercial property area for business operations reaches 200,000 square meters, providing employment for over 800 villagers and seasonal jobs for more than 2,000 people.

The people create history, and labor builds the future. Since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Houba Village has led its people onto the path to a prosperous and happy well-off life. Moving forward, the village’s two committees will continue to unite and lead all villagers, striving for steady progress and bold exploration to achieve comprehensive transformation and advance into sectors such as education, healthcare, elderly care, and tourism.
