Boat-shaped Street is an iconic landmark in Taierzhuang.

Also known as the Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park, the area features a massive boat-shaped structure that is 110 meters long and 60 meters wide at its center, surrounded by water on all sides. It resembles a grand ship setting sail, symbolizing “sailing smoothly down the river with favorable winds.”

The overall structure resembles a giant boat, and many smaller boats are also sculpted and painted throughout the interior and exterior. The central boat represents the imperial dragon boat of Emperor Qianlong. This stone carving is a water-controlling beast, believed to keep the waters calm and ensure safe sailing. On the boat stands the Houyue Pavilion, used for performances, where the local traditional opera genre, Liuqin Opera, is currently being performed.
