The Ximao Thatched Cottage Settlement in Heishan is located in Zhangshanzi Town, Taierzhuang District, Zaozhuang City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.

On October 10, 2013, the Ximao Thatched Cottage Settlement in Heishan was designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Zhangshanzi Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Taierzhuang District, Zaozhuang City. In 1958, it belonged to the Shuguang Commune of Jian Touji; in 1962, it was renamed Zhangshanzi Commune; in 1984, it became a town. It is located in the southernmost part of the city and the southwestern part of the district, 31 kilometers from the district government, at the border between Jiangsu and Shandong. Covering an area of 45 square kilometers with a population of 16,000, it is home not only to the Han ethnic group but also to ethnic minorities such as the Miao and Buyi.
