The Taogouqiao Wetland Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Taogouqiao Wetland in Taierzhuang District lies at the junction of Jiangsu and Shandong provinces, connecting to the Shengli Canal in the north and the Grand Canal in the south. It is an important part of the outdoor leisure and resort area within the national-level cultural industry park of the Taierzhuang Ancient City. With a total length of 6,695 meters, an average river width of over 600 meters, and a total area of 6,000 mu, the wetland features dense reeds and rich aquatic vegetation. It attracts over 20 species of birds including herons, egrets, cormorants, and albatrosses. Lush trees line both banks, creating a vast and verdant landscape. The riverbanks are covered with thriving water plants and swaying reeds, where wild lotus, water lilies, water chestnuts, and gorgon fruits can be found everywhere. Ducks play in the water and seagulls soar above, while warblers sing and swallows dance, offering uniquely natural and rustic charm. In spring, the area is surrounded by green trees and blooming flowers; in summer, the dense foliage provides ample shade, and the magnificent view of “boundless lotus leaves stretching to the sky and lotus blossoms glowing red under the sun” brings visitors back to nature. In autumn, golden rice fields and clear waters with beautiful woods present a serene scene, while in winter, the blue water and green fields captivate and enchant travelers.
