Hongmen Village is a distinctive eco courtyard economy demonstration village within the Xiong'er Mountain–Baodugu National Geopark. Located in the northeast of Zaozhuang City, the village nestles against mountains and faces water, boasting an elegant environment. It features historical sites such as Ming Dynasty tombs and anti-Japanese War-era bunkers, and enjoys the reputation of a “Grape Expo Garden.”

The village has 1,000 mu of land dedicated to grape cultivation, with over 98% of its courtyard areas developed for grape growing. It mainly grows 18 premium and rare grape varieties, including Kyoho, Black Seedless, Red Globe, Beauty Finger, and Ma0. In recent years, the village has focused on the processing and value-added utilization of grapes, developing a series of products such as grape potted plants and grape juice. A Grape Planting Professional Cooperative has been established, enrolling 220 member households and covering a land transfer area of 1,000 mu.

In recent years, the village has actively implemented the town Party committee and government’s strategy of “building the town on ecology, strengthening it through tourism, and enriching it via openness.” Leveraging its natural resource advantages, it has explored and implemented a “company + base + farmer” development model. This initiative fosters a distinctive eco-leisure tourism centered around “agritainment,” where farmers are the main operators offering services such as farm meals, rural lodging, countryside sightseeing, and local entertainment. Recently, the village successfully negotiated with Shandong Quanxing Real Estate Co., Ltd. to invest 350 million yuan in a comprehensive Hongmen Agritainment Development Project. Covering more than 300 mu, the project will integrate the development of Hongmen Village’s barren hills and Heiyu Reservoir, combining agriculture with tourism. With the help of a Land Professional Cooperative, it will engage in high-efficiency agricultural planting and plan four key zones: a leisure and entertainment area, a hunting area, a dining and business club, and a new rural community. Specific facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, fishing spots, water recreation areas, a grape picking garden, a pasture, a tourist reception center, and parking lots, along with infrastructure upgrades for rural homestays. Once completed, the project is expected to create over 300 jobs, accommodate up to 1,000 visitors daily, establish a premium agritainment destination, elevate the quality of rural tourism, and effectively boost the development of the local tourism service industry.
