Changxiang Village is located to the east of Chengtou Town Government, known as China's No.1 Tofu Town in Shanting District, and to the north of Moon Bay National Wetland Scenic Area, a national AAA-level tourist attraction. The village currently has over 1,200 households and a population of more than 4,200. With a long history and beautiful scenery, it has unearthed historical sites such as the Mashan Han Tombs and the Changxiang Ruins, boasting profound cultural heritage.

In recent years, the village has focused on building itself into a strong rural tourism destination that is livable and enjoyable. In line with efforts such as creating an ecological civilization village, it has carried out activities including the construction of new rural communities and village environmental improvement. The old village area is simple and clean, featuring typical architecture of southern Shandong; the new community is fully equipped, with the village’s green coverage exceeding 48%. The village has access to water, electricity, postal services, and telephone connections. There are two parking lots within the scenic area, complete with tourism traffic signs, tourist maps, and signage. Fixed tourism offices such as a visitor reception center are available, managed and serviced by dedicated staff, including a tourism complaint center and a police post within the scenic area to ensure visitor safety. Local farmhouse restaurants mainly offer special dishes such as Moon Bay Farmhouse Cuisine and Halal Lamb Soup.

Leveraging the local specialty tofu industry, the village has actively developed tourism merchandise, effectively boosting the growth of the tourism sector. The scenic area receives over 30,000 tourists annually, generating more than 1.5 million yuan in tourism revenue per year, with over 19% of the village’s workforce employed in tourism. Villagers are 100% satisfied with the development of tourism, and tourists are 100% satisfied with the tourism services.

Currently, the village has been recognized by the Provincial Tourism Bureau as a Strong Tourism Village of Shandong Province, and has been listed as a Municipal Eco-Demonstration Tourism Base by organizations such as the Municipal Youth League Committee, the Municipal Forestry Bureau, and the Municipal Education Bureau.
