Lingqiu Ancient City Site

The Lingqiu Ancient City Site is a cultural relics protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Lingqiu Ancient City Site is located in Sangcun Town, Shanting District, Zaozhuang City, dating back to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.

On June 23, 2015, the Lingqiu Ancient City Site was designated as part of the fifth batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Sangcun Town: Sangcun was initially established during the Spring and Autumn Period, took shape in the Warring States Period, and was then known as Lingqiu, a southern settlement of the Qi State. It flourished during the Western and Eastern Han Dynasties, spanning a thousand hectares. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, merchants gathered here, and it became famous for widespread cultivation of mulberry trees and sericulture.

Sangcun is located in the western part of Shanting District, Zaozhuang City, adjacent to Tengzhou, covering a total area of 78 square kilometers, with 23 villages (communities) and a population of 91,000.
